Yep, I did that to him. I scratched him with my fingernail on accident when I was trying to catch him from falling. It didn't bother him much. I feel like all I do is try and keep him from hurting himself. He went from hardly mobile at all to extremely mobile and it's hard to keep up. I realize it's only going to get harder.
Do most kids end up with a lot of bruises when they are learning to walk or is it just mine?

I don't think Hayden got hurt as much as he was learning to walk but once he did learn to walk...he started coming up with scraped knees and bruises out of no where.
Sarah fell one time and hit the corner of a window sill and had a HUGE black eye for about a month. I felt like every time I was out with her people thought I had punched her!
Just all part of learning to become mobile.
If you want to feel better (which...seriously, the girls look a cps case at this very moment although mainly caused by doing acrobatics in the living room) go to my blog and click on Jules' blog Rodman's road to life. Her granddaughter has one heck of a shiner.
Mckenzee constantly had a bruise on her forehead. She always got it in the exact same spot too...so much that it formed scar tissue under the skin by age two...but it's gone now....but she still gets all kinds of hurts even at 3.
